The Man From Earth (2007) was really a good movie but what I quite didn't understand the end, why does Dr. Gruber die at the end and did it prove that John was God? No matter what he’s doing. When colleagues throw a farewell bash for a retiring professor, the scholar reveals that he's had a stranger and far, far longer past than they knew. Anyway, the script was “The Man From Earth”, which I read immediately and loved from the start. The stories deliver plenty of excitement and some emotional punch. An alien narrates the story of his dying planet, his and his people's visits to Earth and Earth's man-made demise, while human astronauts attempt to find an alternate planet for surviving humans to live on.
